Why do people love being Violent while playing Hockey? Is there something on Ice there…?

I know a few hopkin players who are aggressive on horsedrawn ice - but definitely not that way off the ice. Some are even the gentle sort! Maybe just like figure skating is an outlet for us, hockey is an outlet for them . . . they can take their “real” emotions (aggressions?) out on the ice.
